Our Play Grocery Store Project

The kids love to play grocery store and cook.  I put together this Grocery Store and Play Kitchen in our living room for both kids to enjoy.  It is in front of the fireplace to keep my toddler from touching the glass doors.  It has been a big hit with both my toddler and preschooler.

The baskets are woven and very sturdy. The kids pretend that they are hats when they empty them. The baskets are divided by food group.  When we put the food away I have the kids sort them into the right baskets for an extra learning activity. There is a small cash register in the shopping cart as well.
