Music and Movement: Indoor Fun and Gross Motor Skill Development with Agility Rings

Stuck indoors with your little ones? It doesn't have to mean hours of television.  To burn off energy and work on gross motor skills I purchased a set of rings that were flat (to reduce the chances of my little monkeys tripping on the rings) and were several colors (to integrate color recognition into our games).  I never thought that a set of rings would provide us with so many activities and hours of fun. We have done bean bags tosses, practiced spinning them like a top, and so much more. Below are some examples of our favorite games to play with rings.

Jumping in only certain color hoops.
Speed jumping.
  Ring twirling.
Jumping from hoop to hoop while avoiding the red hoops.
